Navigating loss and letting go of a carefree life.
THE SCHOOL OF DEATH meets Jennifer N. Levin. The voice of a new generation of caregivers.
In this conversation, Janna Maria Nandzik, founder & host of THE SCHOOL OF DEATH and American author Jennifer N. Levin will discuss the challenges of caregiving while navigating your own life path, putting personal desires on hold, and why self-care and setting clear boundaries are essential.
Jennifer will also read from her newly published book, which examines the rise of caregiving among millennials and combines research and expert interviews with touching case studies and personal anecdotes.
Janna met Jennifer N. Levin online when Janna’s mother underwent a serious illness. Jennifer became a caregiver at 32, when her father was diagnosed with neurological disease progressive supranclear palsy. Since then, she has been raising awareness about the growing number of young people caring for loved ones – often without support or recognition.
Jennifer founded Caregiver Collective, a national online support network connecting millennial caregivers. She has organised Zoom support chats and expert-led webinars to help young adults who provide family care.
Her new book, „GENERATION CARE: The New Culture of Caregiving“ sheds light on the caregiving crisis in the U.S. and its profound impact on millions of millennials.
This event is free of charge and will be hosted in English.
